"Keep the engines ready, we'll be right back!"

U.S. President George W. Bush (4th L) meets with General David Petraeus (3rd L), the top U.S. Commander in Iraq, upon Bush's arrival at Al-Asad Air Base in Anbar Province, Iraq, September 3, 2007. Also pictured are U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice (5th R) and U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates (6th R). Anyone know for certain how long this surprise visit to assess the sitiuation in Iraq lasted? I wonder 'cause it doesn't seem anyone is venturing too far from the airplane. I'm just sayin'...
Edit: It's reported that Bush stayed in Anbar for 6 hours today, to "assess the war" in Iraq, he and during that time he never left the confines of the base located near the runway.
